Here at Aroha we take pride in keeping all of our valued landlords as much information as we possibly can on any legal changes which my have an affect on there property. Now, recently a new regulation has been passed regarding every properties EPC. As you may know, this certificate looks at the energy efficiency of your property and from this your property is given a rank, from the letter A-G. From the 1st of April 2018 a new law will be put in place that all properties on the rental market should have an EPC rating of E or above. As business expands so does our space!!! As of this month Aroha has been running for two years, and in this time it has transformed from as small one person office, to now moving to a much larger establishment. As well as having a bigger space we can now offer more services, with our resident mortgage adviser Johanna, and accounting and tax advice also being offered. FINALLY.... OUR NEW OFFICE is ready to open. I am feeling super emotional and completely overwhelmed by the achievements we have made this last year.. THANK you so much to everyone that has supported me along this journey especially my partner Rob who has been my absolute rock and mentor. Landlords can be fined up to £3,000 for renting property to somebody who isn't allowed to rent in England. The Right to Rent rules require all private landlords to check the immigration status of prospective tenants before contracts are signed, to make sure they have the right to rent.
